Absolution – Synopsis
After twelve years in the British military, army officer Mia Masters is just about done with the uniform and is ready to join the rest of her family in Philadelphia.
On her last night based in Germany, Mia’s team throw a surprise leaving party to show exactly how much she is loved and will be missed by all her friends and fellow soldiers. Little does she know that by the end of the night she’ll meet some people who are not quite so enamoured by her, and who have plans for her that don’t involve a long and happy retirement.
Zander Sheppard has been an FBI agent for over fifteen years, having joined the agency straight from college. When he returns to Philadelphia after being undercover for three years, and having spent another year recovering from multiple gunshot wounds after the operation ended badly, he’s pretty sure his life is finally getting back on track.
Ok, he knows he’s not the same man as he used to be, and there are obvious signs that his personality has changed, but when he’s faced with an actual damsel in distress and treats her like she’s something he’s scraped off his shoe, he realises that his mental health is anything but healthy and he needs to do something about it.
