Edge of your seat, holding your breath conclusion to the series. April 3, 2018

This is an honest review on an ARC I received from the author.

Beth had me on the edge of my seat. Again! I should be used to it by now, but nope, she gets me every time with new adventures, new criminals that make my hair stand on end. This is also the last book in this current series, with the new series on the new younger family and their friends, coming into the Alpha-Stalwart-family.

Breathless takes us into the life of Gregor, the Russian billionaire. It starts out after the rescue of his daughter and the women in Columbia. It tells us about how the three sisters try to adapt to living in Gregor’s house. Beth has masterly broadened the scope from the dead drug lord to his family and brought this series to a climatic and suspenseful end. No cliffhangers! All happily-ever-afters (for the good guys), knowing this was the only thing that kept me going while thinking: “They can’t be dead! They can’t be dead! They have to be alive, but how did she do it?”
To get the full family effect, I would really recommend you read through the whole series!

Flawed but still good March 6, 2018

While I greatly enjoyed a book with more mature main characters, there was a fundamental flaw in the premise that it took 5 days to find CJ. Any Escalade produced after 2009 has either On star and/or a built in GPS location device. However, overlooking that, this was still an excellent book.

I think the previous reviewers missed the point here. This book tries to tastefully show an alternative lifestyle. Furthermore, the only 5ime the book even touches on a woman being hurt by her man, is the result of PTSD. PTSD is a very real issue for veterans everywhere. Abbott treats both of these subjects with rich character development and sensitivity. Additionally, she shows that no matter how strong someone is in the outside, they don’t have to be afraid or ashamed of showing honest emotions. A solid 5 stars. March 4, 2018

I completely disagree with the previous reviews. This book handles two difficult subjects with grace. The subject of PTSD is confronted and handled. Nowhere in this book does the author use domestic abuse of any kind. The subject of a polyamorous relationship is also handled well. Again, nowhere in this book does it promote indiscriminate bisexual promiscuity. If one can’t handle these adult subjects, perhaps they should not read adult fiction. Unpleasant subjects will come up if art is truly “reflecting” life. This book deserves a solid 5 stars for its handling of delicate REAL issues.

He has to protect the country singer, who is also the mom of his colleague’s wife. So, she is kind of family. And we all know singers are uppity, aren’t they? Thomas didn’t know what hit him when he really got to know CJ, because she wasn’t what he expected. More nail-biting action in between real romance and the usual Alpha/Stalwart family.

Action Packed with a Side of Romance January 14, 2018

I really liked this book! Ellen’s father, David, was in bed with a ring of criminals and gathering intel for the police so they could bring George Drayton’s crime ring down. One night, David made a stop to George’s house when the henchmen stumble upon them, and their lives are forever changed. A handsome stranger comes to their aid, but he is killed in the process. Now Ellen is on the run from the gang and has been living her life as invisible as possible. She colors her hair and wears colored contacts and glasses to disguise her beautiful appearance. She’s living in a small town, flying under the radar when HE comes along, Mr. Tall, Dark, and Moody!

Luke is searching for a missing girl that’s tied to his brother’s death. He just knows his brother couldn’t be tied to the gang of criminals. He was one of the good guys. She holds the answers he seeks to clear his brother’s name and to put away the criminals that caused his brother’s death. When his search leads him to a small town and a very intriguing waitress named Ellen, sparks fly! What will he do when he learns Ellen is the girl he seeks? Will she come forward to clear his brother’s name or will his gruff behavior cost him everything?

The characters in this book were well flushed out, You get their back story to really know who they are and where they’re coming from. I like the humor and the relationship between Ellen and her best friend Suzy. Suzy is a real spitfire, and these two ladies are a ball together. Toss in a handful of hunky men and a couple of great parents, and you have a wonderful tale. The book is fast paced with a lot of romance and action. The plot just flowed great. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your toes. This is the first book in the Alpha Company Women series. I will definitely be reading more from this author!

Lots of action and surprises around the next river bend December 26, 2017

Adding to my Beth Abbott collection! This book continues with the great Stalwart and Alpha Company-families, this time with Tuck’s step-son as the main character. He is following in the footsteps of the great examples set for him. Will he save the day in drug-cartel-country? The odds are overwhelmingly against him and his team, with injuries rocking in as soon as their feet touch ground. Alex has a great strength of character, definite priorities, and knows what he wants, both for his military career, and the kind of girlfriend in his life.
Sophia is the daughter of a rich Russian millionaire. She is luckily not a spoiled brat and I liked her spunk and values just as much as I liked the way Alex turned out to be. Two such strong characters obviously cause fireworks in an action-packed military rescue operation gone ‘FUBAR’. But no one who is part of either Stalwart or Alpha Company are left to fend for themselves.
This has a HEA, and no cliffhangers w.r.t. the main characters of the story.

I love the strong characters, male and female alike. Ms. Abbott is a new favorite author now. I loved the AC wives’ series that preceded this series and highly recommend you read these in order to get the full benefit of her story telling. Great plot and the scenery is picture-painted perfection. Do yourself a big favor and curl up in a comfy corner and begin to devour these books! 🙂

This is my first read of this author (I believe) and I cannot express how impressed I am with the authors ability to grab and hold my attention all the way through top the end. I literally read it through in one sitting (or laying down honestly, as I read it through the night). Well-developed characters, awesome plot and a wonderful mix of genres- romance, mystery, action and adventure. I literally was spell bound all the way through, alternately laughing, crying and on edge, but what an amazing ride it was!!! 🙂

Family fun, yet not for the faint of heart August 8, 2017

Each time I read one of her books I think to myself: “this is my new favourite”. Well now I’ve found a new favourite again! Arizona is farm country, horse rides, swimming in the lake, family fun, … gold … danger … deception around every corner. People are not who or what they seem to be, on the good and bad side!
In this book an old favourite, Brandon, meets his happily ever after. He is really a man no woman can say no to: brave, steadfast, honourable, a good dad, loving, kind, dangerous to those who endangers what is his. As always both Stalwart and Alpha Companies come to the rescue when the going gets tough. There are no cliff-hangers, but hold on to your cowboy hat, the boy does not get his girl so easily. A lot of action, surprises, twists and turns, and two brave little girls later… and some giggles and fun. This story has it all. Definitely my favourite.

Jordan is in the lime light in this story, the follow up to his brother’s book, Shattered. The books stand alone, but it is better to read the series in order to keep up with the Alpha and Stalwart Families.
As usual a great read, with a very human girl, suffering through … so much, for so long. A woman who protects and lives out the motto: no matter what happens in life, you can get over/through it! Heart rendering, honest, real life characters you can associate with. As usual laughter, family, drama and action makes up this story. Happily ever after, no cliffhangers, but some nail-bite situations to get through first.
I received a copy for an honest review.

Fresh surprises in the plot, heartfelt drama, action and romance May 26, 2017

The hero has a serious head injury which is getting worse by the day. He has an internal struggle, whether to tell his twin brother (which he is very close to) and mother just how severe it has become. His job may be on the line, his dream position, because he can’t work in the field, and he is too honourable to stay on in a position which he feels he can’t fulfill. Being sent out on what might be his last assignment – “babysitting” a top international model, turns out totally different from what he expected.

The author has once again spun a people’s drama amid action and romance. The story is not just thoughtful because of a real, heart-rendering situation, but includes the usual suspense, action and drama. I was surprised by some of the twists and turns in the plot, thought it very original and refreshing. The bad guy is a BAD GUY, no doubt, and the good guys, they are good, and the good guy gets his girl, after another plot surprise. I honestly love this series.

This 3rd book was too graphic for my taste and when I reread this series as I often do of my favorites, I will definitely choose the milder version of this one for sure.

Alpha company family – strong, loving, supportive, suspenseful! January 10, 2017

This book can’t be described with one word. At times you are in the midst of action and suspense, at other times loving, fun, family. Then again, some very thoughtful, adult conversation between two people whose characters you’ve come to like and admire. Then there are also the Alpha bedroom scenes. Not over the top, but definitely making you wonder…
I’ve come to love the main characters of Alpha Company and it stays a wonder how they are written that you actually believe these are real people out there. A real loving, caring, supporting “family” and they make you wish you could be part of their family. They right the wrongs. They dare and step up.
All three of the books I’ve read so far has left me wanting more. Wanting to learn about the other characters, wanting to be a part of their life. And in between being the best group of people, the men kick some ass, and wipe the floor with the bad guys. What more could a girl ask for?
Each book is a stand-alone, with a happily ever after ending, but do yourself a favour and buy them all.

Colourful and a delight December 24, 2016

The first book from this author that I’ve read, and I loved it so much, I’ve bought book 2 (finished it just now) and on my way to buy book 3! Yes, these are strong alpha men, with some colourful language and descriptive scenes (in and out of the bedroom 😉 ), but the story grips you. The characters are well developed, well written and made me wish I was part of the Alpha Company Security Agency’s family group. Such strong men need strong women by their side, and these women don’t just bring sass and love to the story but shows their courage.
I loved how the author wrote some twists in to the story, change the pace up a bit to surprise you, with the good and bad. Just enough action, just enough laughs, just enough daily life, all in all a great read to relax with.

I very, very seldom give any rating a total 100%. I originally gave this book a rating of 4.0 but it deserves a 5.0. The author is in the process of rechecking her books and corrected some mistakes, thus this series is worthy of 5*. I’ve read the first 3 books in the series now and are falling more and more in love with the characters.

The women make the series! May 18, 2018

This book was quite graphic in many ways so if you have triggers around kidnapping, rape, physical or psychological abuse please be aware! Having said that the book was quite good at taking bad situations and showing us what strong, capable women are able to triumph and overcome, especially as in this case they have a man who loves them unconditionally and a support cast of others including a determined mom as well. It’s well written with lots of tender moments and some sexy ones too! I’ve fallen in love with these boys, and some ladies too and can’t wait to read as each find their own love!

Luke was a dream lover and I think I’d let him put his boots under my bed anytime, back when I was single! I’d recommend this book for others. I decided to look through the different authors in the free book offers and started to read about Luke and Ellen. The story line was great, although I don’t understand how Matt and Suzy landed up living where Ellen did. I found that a little unexplained. Anyway, I loved the story and decided that I’d really like to read the next book in the series. Nicely written and absolutely love the humour between Ellen and Suzy. Brilliant!

Wow!!! I nearly had a cardiac arrest and died reading this book. I’ve read all the Alpha /Stalwart books and they are superb. Once you read Invisible you’ll be hooked and wanting to download the next one and the next one till that’s it……..or is it? Please read these books. I guarantee you’ll fall in love with the characters, I for one want to be married to one of those guys!! OK in my dreams yes. I absolutely love Beth’s books and her style of writing. This book is the final one in the series and to say I am disappointed is an understatement. This book brings all the old characters we have come to love from previous series (well, all except Matt + Suzy) and introduces us to a few new ones, Joel is absolutely awesome, and Danny and Marcus are, as ever, misbehaving but that just makes them even more loveable.

This book focuses mainly on Gregor, Tulli, her Sisters and the Colombian mafia. A member of the mafia is out for revenge after the death of Luis Castile in the last book, as with all Beth’s books this is a well-paced book that once you start won’t let you put it down until you have finished it.

I have loved every single one of Beth’s books and this one is no exception! I loved reading about Brandon and Hayley-bug when they first arrived on the scene and am so happy to read Brandon’s story.

The book is really well written and continues at a pace that keeps you interested all the way through. I love that you get to catch up with characters from previous books, Gigantor and Sacha, Tuck and Candy, Marcus and Sara to name a few! I don’t think this one had as much ‘drama’ in it compared to previous ones, no one needed an A&E visit until the very end, but I can’t give any more info without spoiling it, but it was just as good as previous books, just different. 🙂

Why are you lucky? Because you downloaded this free book. It is the start of a series about the kind if man you wish you knew and amazingly strong women. The book is fast paced with humour and action scenes that gives this love story a more interest than most. I enjoyed this book so much that when I finished reading it at 2-30 in the morning I immediately bought the rest of the series .enjoy .
Can I just add that the person who gave one star saying the story was not realistic should look up fiction in the dictionary.

Abbey’s story and the way she fights for her future, and that of her little boy Baxter is really touching. A strong but appealing woman, and Jordan is certainly a strong but appealing man. Totally love Baxter, he’s a real scene-stealer!
It well written, powerful and moving, and yet also funny and overall very enjoyable.
I don’t want to give away any of the plot…so enjoy reading it yourself.

This is just another great read from the talented Beth Abbott.
Abbey is a great addition to the strong posse of ladies alongside the tough soldiers from Alpha/Stalwart companies.
The story is so well written especially with the nature of the storyline but it is done in such a way that is so believable and tense.

If you like any of the other books in these series, you really won’t be disappointed as this is another enjoyable hit with characters that we have grown to love. But if you haven’t read any of these books, please start at the beginning and get involved in all of these wonderfully written, character led books and enjoy the hard hitting, funny, bonding and emotional books. You won’t regret it!

Worth the wait! 15 April 2017

I have been waiting since Christmas Day for the next book in this series to be released and I can honestly say, it does not disappoint!

The story is set in London and Jordan is in the UK anxiously waiting for his twin brother to recover from surgery. Abbey and her son are also at the hospital but are there for very different reasons and their paths cross (i don’t want to say too much and give the story away). Having read ALL of Beth’s books it is great to hear about previous characters and for anyone who has read the stories and fallen in love with Danny, this book will only make you love him more!

The book is so well written and the pace of it is excellent, there wasn’t a moment during it that I was skipping text to get to a more interesting/exciting part. I love Beth’s writing style and can’t wait for more instalments from both series of books.

Aww have come to the end of the series. Have loved them all. Am having a mental battle with myself about which one is my favourite! There is something/someone in all of them to love. Looking forward to reading everything and anything Beth Abbott writes.
I like series in books but not when the previous characters are just given lip service to keep you interested. These books have the strong characters running all through the six books, keeping your interest in them all the way through.
Treat yourself to this series, you won’t be disappointed.

I had this pre ordered for Release on Christmas Day and was not disappointed at all (I would have read it at midnight when it arrived on my kindle but I don’t think my Husband would have been too happy) so I had to wait until mid-day Christmas Day before I finally got to read it!

Danny has always been my favourite character but Sam is such a close second now, how can you not love a man like him! The relationship Sam has with his Brother Jordan is a big part of the story and I love the interactions between the two of them. Sam feels like he has nothing to offer the team with his condition worsening but being part of the Stalwart in any capacity is what makes this group so unique.

An amazing read and I love that all the same characters are mentioned through each of the books. I can’t wait for the next book to be released and will definitely be pre-ordering it!

I couldn’t wait to start this book having read the previous Alpha Company books and I was not disappointed.

Who couldn’t love Zach….tall, strong, handsome, alpha…… Sacha is a dynamo, she sees what she wants and goes for it. She doesn’t see the age difference as an obstacle at all but can’t seem to convince Zach that it doesn’t matter. Sadly, Zach puts his very large feet in his mouth and makes an astonishingly awful comment about her abilities, which doesn’t go down well with the team. This is a brilliant piece of writing, I love how Beth brings it all together and the stories are so well written they keep you wanting to turn the pages.

What a great story! Sara is a head strong woman who has a huge heart, I loved reading this book and her attempts to evade certain people (can’t say too much as it will give the story away).

Marcus……I have loved reading about him in the previous books and really enjoyed this book dedicated to him! This book will make you laugh out loud at times (yep, I am the crazy lady who suddenly bursts out laughing) and will keep you hooked all the way through.

This book gives CJ the chance to shine, she is a legend in the Country singing scene but the person she portrays on stage is nothing like who she really is. Thomas is a man who has been hurt in the past and believes he knows the type of person CJ is…..how wrong can one man be!

CJ is a kind, caring, sensitive lady and understands how people can make assumptions about her but is also not to be treated like an idiot!

This is mainly Drew and Tony’s story with some more background on Matt and Suzy (and let’s face it how can you not love loud mouth Suzy).

I loved reading about Drew and Tony’s relationship, they love each other with such passion and are absolutely besotted with each other. Victoria is a strong, loyal, loving woman who has suffered heartbreak before, but she just seems to ‘fit’ with Drew and Tony. It was also nice to hear more from Matt and Suzy, she is the type of friend you love to death but are never sure what is going to come out of her mouth. Suzy has no filter and therefore says things that will make you blush!

After reading the first book in this series and really enjoying it I downloaded this one straight away and it really didn’t disappoint.

Danny is the man known for his ‘playboy’ ways and after rescuing Hannah he appears to still be the same big flirt he has always been. What no-one knows is how Hannah affected him and Danny isn’t keen on changing people’s perception of him.

The characters mentioned in book 1 are again in this book and I love that we get to keep up to date with them all.

This book is about Ellen who has been in hiding for 3 years and a chance encounter with Luke who has spent time looking for the woman who can give him answers.

The story is really well written and keeps you engaged from the very first page and I love that we get to meet other characters whose stories make up further books. Beth Abbott has fast become my favourite author.

How is it even possible that every book Beth Abbot releases is even better than the one before?

This book has an excellent story. The characters’ chemistry is well balanced. I got nothing but love for Beth Abbott writing.

Great book – excellent dialogue between characters 11 December 2016

Brilliant book, I’ve enjoyed the previous ones in this series, but this is by far the best yet. The dialogue is excellent, the quality of conversation and teasing between the characters is very well done. Sara has a likeable vibrant personality and the banter between all the characters (although especially Sara) is superb and surprisingly humorous. I literally snorted out loud several times while reading this (my husband raised a sardonic eyebrow at me a couple of times when I had unknowingly uttered some sound of amusement). Personally, I think it takes more skill from an author to write something will genuinely catch me as funny enough to express in random noises of amusement than it is to write despair and angst (not that I don’t also enjoy a suitable bit of anguish mind you!). Great book – well worth reading.

Great book 28 November 2016

I really enjoyed this book. Who doesn’t love a strong alpha-guy where he’s still a likable person? The connection between Hannah and Danny feels real and the intensity is cogent because of the circumstances of their first meeting. The ‘raped/left for dead’ elements of the story are dark enough to convey the emotion without being gratuitous. The heroine was suitably non-wimpy to keep me happy (I do prefer a stronger female lead in these sorts of books). I will be reading the rest of the series.

Not my normal genre, but I’m hooked! 14 November 2016

I love this book! the characters are loveable, and the humour is great. The sex is great too! Beth Abbott you are one dirty girl!!! This book is not the normal genre I read, but, I am hooked!! I was so keen to see what happens to the rest of the ‘Alpha family’ that I am already half way through book four and the series is getting better and better. Download read and enjoy xxx

OMG really enjoy all the Alpha and Stalwart books, love the characters, love the romance, love the way the strong males can show a tender side. Love the suspense, love the plot, love the action, love the fact I was engrossed and could not put this book down until the end. Even enjoyed the bad characters, brilliant. Cannot wait for the next book! Has everything I look for in a book. Loving the British American theme. Beth Abbott fantastic, more please. Also loving the cover on this book.

Another win for Beth Abbott. I really enjoyed this book. It had it all. Love, Danger, Seriously Hot Alpha Males, Laughter and I even cried more than once. I definitely recommend this book. Can’t wait for the next series.

I am hooked! 5 September 2016

One word I can describe Book 4 is ‘Steamy’.
I spent the last two weeks reading Alpha Company series and I could not put these books down.
I have now read all 5 books and they literally haunted my dreams. I fell asleep reading them, and woke up thinking “what is going to happen to CJ or Drew or Danny? I love all ‘AC family’ characters.
Now am looking forward to reading book 6 which is coming out on 2nd September according to Amazon. Just can’t wait!

This was a great story from beginning to end. The plot was enjoyable, adventurous and intense. I couldn’t put the book down at all! The characters are interesting and funny, with Ellen being an especially strong female character. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

I loved this book, cannot recommend it highly enough to all readers. It is beautifully written and full of humour. This book is a page turner, so don’t count on putting it down. Now can’t wait to start book 4 of Alpha Company series.

Love a man in uniform 12 March 2018

I love the strength you pour into your female character even when she stands next to her trained other. The imagery is so clear I feel I am walking alongside watching it all go down. I love it thank you Beth and I can’t wait to get stuck into book two.

Brandon’s story is very readable. 14 October 2017

I am enjoying this series and I’m glad Brandon gets his own story. However, there is a strange reluctance in this one for anyone to ask obvious questions and I did find that irritating.
Having said that there are plenty of positives, not least the characters developing, the setting was a nice change, and there are even a couple of unexpected curves thrown in.
Not the best in the series but not bad. 3.5/5 from me.

Very very well written, good story, if a bit predictable. Really good dialogue and the characters were human and very relatable which made the story very good to read. Much more relatable than the usual monosyllabic alpha males.
I really enjoyed this book and will buy the next ones, because of the believable characters.
